Cross-country skiing
Laengenfeld's cross-country possibilities are unique and free for everybody. Consequently the area has been awarded with the tyrolean course cachet.
Right next to our house there is the entrance to the cross-country course of Oberried. Especially the illuminated course in the evening provides a special adventure.
Furthermore there are many more courses in Gries, which is located about 6 km above Laengenfeld. Thank to the village's altitude, Gries guarantees snow all over the season.
Skiing and Snowboarding
The Oetztal is the perfect destination for ski- and boarding enthusiasts! Wheter beginner or expert - everyone find the perfect slope. Not far from Laengenfeld there is the famouse ski paradise Soelden. Parties start during the day at some huts in the ski resort and end late at night in clubs in the center.
Whoever prefers a calm but exclusive resort, should go to Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. For families and beginners Gries is the spot to visit.
The next busstop is easily reachable by feet from our house (about 250m from our accommodation). Buckle your equipment and here we go.
Tobogganing
In Laengenfeld tobogganing fun is guaranteed. Start with a winterwalk through the magnificent landscape, stop at the refuge, enjoy tyrolean food and get back to the valley with a sledge.
Alpengasthof "am Feuerstein" in Huben combines all mentionned things. Mystical legends of Oetztal, a restaurant of high quality and a perfectly shaped toboggan run. Furthermore you can try one of the unique wines of "Feuerstein's wine bar".
